Camping Du Vieux Verger is also committed to respecting our environment.

Keen to minimize the environmental impact of our business and eager to use the holiday season to raise awareness among our guests, we have decided to implement several measures in our accommodations:

– replace disposable mattress protectors with plastic mattress covers,
– avoid disposable bottles and replace them with glass bottles that can be used as reusable water bottles at the beach,
– facilitate the disposal of organic waste in compost bins using bio-buckets,
– facilitate the disposal of packaging in recycling bins using reusable shopping bags.

Camping Du Vieux Verger has already equipped itself with: a wood chipper to turn hedge trimmings into mulch, two composters (the resulting compost is used in the campsite’s planters), a heat pump to heat the swimming pool, showerheads and tap aerators (water-saving systems), LED spotlights…

Respectful of the surrounding nature, we have installed nesting boxes that can accommodate various species of birds and other wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled, you might spot: robins, tits, hoopoes, swallows, woodpeckers, and peach-faced birds…ladybugs and various insects.
